LION Smart GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of LION E-Mobility AG, is a company from Garching by Munich founded in 2008 and is specialized in battery system development, integration and battery lab testing. The company is developing batteries systems based on BMW i3 batteries. The first official integration and series supply project with the company “The Lion Electric”, a commercial vehicle manufacturer (OEM) in Canada for school buses and trucks, started in June 2019.
