ANOTHER STEP FORWARD IN A WIN-WIN COLLABORATION: SINOCHEM STARTS DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING OF BATTERIES IN COLLABORATION WITH BMW.

Capturing the momentum of win-win collaboration since 2019, the New Energy Business Unit of Sinochem International entered into a Framework Agreement for Strategic Collaboration on September 15, 2020. Under this framework agreement, both side agree to engage in a series of joint projects around lithium-ion batteries as part of long term collaborations.

Some of the projects include joint development, marketing, business model development, manufacturing, and aftersales services of lithium-ion batteries. Both sides believe that the combination of BMW’s know-how in automotive quality and safety level in battery development and Sinochem’s own competitive advantage in upstream battery materials R&D and production will provide a solid base for a long term strategic collaboration to achieve mutually beneficial development in the global new energy market.
